Sarah completed her B.Sc. Physiotherapy at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and a Masters in Advanced Health Care Practice at the University of Limerick, Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy from Curtin University, Perth, Australia. CORU Registered PT028466
Having graduated in 2007, Sarah spent 18 months working in the HSE in the University Hospital Limerick before emigrating to Australia where she spent 8 years working across acute, sub acute and community services and private practice there. While there, she did APPI Pilates training, specialised women’s health training and was involved with sports team rehabilitation. Since returning home Sarah has worked in rehabilitation and primary care environments. Sarah has also training in dry needling and myofascial release.
Having completed the Bump Room classes during her own pregnancies, Sarah experienced directly the support, reassurance and empowerment gained from them. Sarah is committed to breaking the cycle of accepted ‘norms’ in health for women and believes the Bump Room can enable this. Sarah is passionate about women enjoying their pregnancies and keeping as fit as possible through exercise to enable a positive birth and post natal recovery. She is keen to bring this service to West Limerick and surrounding areas to meet the health care needs to women in this more rural area.
Sarah has recently returned to her roots and is now living in West Limerick with her husband and three children.
She is delighted to be joining The Bump Room team and with her vast knowledge and experience we are thrilled to have her on board.
