University of Limerick (BSc 1st Hons in Sport and Exercise Science) and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (BSc Hons Physiotherapy). She is a Chartered physiotherapist and is Pilates trained with APPI.
During her 10-year career, Niamh has worked across all settings in healthcare including acute hospital, community care and private practice. She is currently working in the Health and Wellbeing Division within the HSE Cork Services. This role involves working toward achieving healthier communities for all. Niamh has a personal interest in driving change in healthcare to provide every community member with the opportunity to access quality, affordable services. She is committed to ensuring care is available to maintain health and wellness, prevent illness and provide support in every chapter of a person’s life whether they are embarking through the challenges of pregnancy or require support in the final stages of life.
Niamh is originally from Kerry and now lives in Cork with her husband and family. She welcomed her first baby, Sìomha in September 2017 and is enjoying watching her happy little girl grow and learn. Niamh struggled with pelvic pain during pregnancy and builds on this experience to provide positive support for women in pregnancy.
Niamh is pregnant with her second baby at present and is once more grappling with the limitations of pelvic pain. She has had to take a break from delivering Bump Room Ballincollig until her second babies arrives. She looks forward to returning to Bump Room in September 2021.< View PrevView Next >
