Marie has over 10 years experience since graduation and a PhD specialising in the area of physical activity. Thus she has extensive expertise and understanding of exercise and physical activity and integrates this knowledge in her classes. She has successfully run Bump Room classes in Mayo since 2018, and has run exercise classes with a number of other clinical groups also. She has predominantly worked in the research environment as a post-doctoral researcher in the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences in NUI Galway. Marie has worked on research projects involving ante- and post-natal groups among others.
Marie is a mum to busy boys James, born in 2017 and Tomás, born in 2019, and is no stranger to challenging pregnancies. She is keenly aware of the benefits of safe exercise to maintain health during pregnancy as well as to prevent problems arising both during and after the pregnancy. Marie enjoys encouraging, reassuring and motivating mums-to-be to stay fit, strong and confident to exercise during pregnancy.
