Niamh Kenny – Cork
1st class honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science. Graduated from The Royal College of Surgeons with honours in Physiotherapy. Chartered CORU registered physiotherapist. Pilates trained with APPI.
During her 8-year career, Niamh has worked across all settings in healthcare including acute hospital, community care and private practice. She is currently working in the Cork Primary Care setting which involves treating and building relationships with children, parents, mums-to-be, new mums, retired adults and older adults across both the rural and urban setting.
Niamh has a personal interest in driving change in healthcare to provide every community member with the opportunity to access quality, affordable services. She is committed to ensuring care is available to maintain health and wellness, prevent illness and provide support in every chapter of a person’s life whether they are embarking through the challenges of pregnancy or require support in the final stages of life.
Niamh welcomed her first baby, Sìomha in September 2017 and is enjoying watching her happy little girl grow and learn. She struggled with pelvic pain during pregnancy and is eager to build on this experience and provide positive support for women in pregnancy.
Niamh is originally from Kerry and has been living in Cork with her fiancée for 4 years.
She is delighted to be joining The Bump Room team and to facilitate increased availability of services for pregnant women in Cork.View Next >
