We are delighted to Introduce Charlene Hyland, who is joining The Bump Room Team.
Charlene has an honours degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Ulster, 2009. She has also completed a Higher National Certificate In Physiology and Health Science from The Institute of Technology in Carlow. She is also trained in dry needling and myofascial release.
Charlene has spent the past 10 years working in both the NHS and HSE as well as 2 years working in Australia. She has also worked privately and with GAA teams throughout her career.
Charlene has a passion for women’s health and spent 2 years working in the maternity hospital in Cork where she treated a wide variety of both ante-natal and post-natal women. She has vast experience treating women with urinary incontinence, prolapse and pelvic girdle dysfunction. She has completed 2 separate courses on the assessment and management of urinary incontinence. Charlene really believes that women should enjoy their pregnancies and keep as fit as possible through exercise.
Charlene really enjoys teaching pilates and is APPI trained, level 1 and 2 and ante natal.
Originally from Kildare Charlene is now based in Limerick with her husband Keith and daughter Lily who was born in February 2018. She is currently working part-time in UL preparing physio students for placement and also in the HSE covering a clinical caseload of elderly medical rehab patients.
